Underhill Road, East Dulwich

Lovely two bedroom first floor maisonette which is just shy of 750 square feet, with its own south-west facing lawned garden (accessed to the side of the semi-detached building) and a Freehold-share.

There is also a large unexploited loft space demised to this property - which you could easily convert for a future project (please ask us for more details). Parking is unrestricted on the street; there is always plenty in our experience.

You will really enjoy observing the changing seasons here - with a pleasing verdant outlook over Camberwell Old Cemetery. This location is very desirable - leafy, quiet and residential, yet so connected: you are less than 10 minutes by foot from Peckham Rye Park and Common’s 113 acres, and 10-15 minutes from Lordship Lane.

More local shops, pubs and cafes are a five minute walk away, on Forest Hill Road. Also worthy of note is your close proximity to excellent local primary and nursery schools.

In your own (zesty yellow) front door and you have stairs straight ahead, while your part-glazed door to the access passage to your garden is to your immediate right.

From the landing, to the front of the property, you have your first bedroom (a bright single - of over 10 feet by over 6 feet), plus your generous bay-windowed reception room, of over 13 feet by over 12 feet. Fitted shelving to both alcoves keeps matters tidy. A strong accent wall is a nice decision.

Adjacent to the main reception room is your principal bedroom - of over 12 feet by over 11 feet. Pale carpet to the floor here. As throughout, big windows are double-glazed.

Past the handy hall cupboard on your right, to your left is a smart and modern shower room, with bevelled-edge brick-style tiles.

Finally, find your recently-refurbished open-plan kitchen/dining room with views over gardens. The fitted kitchen (in a tasteful deep green) is Shaker-style. Stone worktops impress, as does your gadget tap.

For stations, you’ve got three to choose from in easy-walking distance: Honor Oak Park (Fare Zone 3), East Dulwich and Peckham Rye (both 2). Day and night bus routes are also at your feet, from Peckham Rye.

We’ve mentioned Peckham Rye Park and Common. There are loads of gorgeous green spaces to call your local ones - Horniman Gardens, Goose Green, One Tree Hill and Dulwich Park are just a few examples.

In addition to the useful run of shops on Forest Hill Road and Barry Road, more options are on Lordship and Rye Lanes, as well as in Honor Oak and Nunhead centres. North Cross Road’s Saturday market is also local.

Our favourite nearby cafes are Cafe G (on the corner of The Gardens), and Cafe On The Rye.

For social meets, Watson’s General Telegraph and The Herne Tavern are your closest local pubs, in handsome Victorian buildings and with big outside spaces.

Bellenden Road also isn’t far for top restaurants including Artusi, Ganapati and The Begging Bowl. Other great dining options in SE15 include Levan, Banh Banh, Mr Bao, Miss Tapas and Peckham Bazaar. Miss Margherita and Babur in the Honor Oak area are also highly recommended.

East Dulwich leisure centre is a short stroll away, or you can ‘sign up’ for British Military Fitness workouts on Peckham Rye, or join the park-runners for free each and every Saturday at 9am.
