Flaxman Road, Camberwell

Oversized one double bedroom raised ground floor conversion apartment within a handsome bay-fronted end of terrace Victorian townie.

Find it within easy reach of Loughborough Junction trains (a few minutes by foot, Zone 2), central Camberwell, and central Brixton, too.

Take steps to a main front door (which you share with the flat above). Your own front door is on your left. From the hall, turn left and you are in your huge reception room - where the high ceilings and large proportions really sing! The room is over 16 feet by over 15 feet, with boards to the floor and a navy hue to the walls.

Straight ahead from your front door and you have your bedroom (a good size, at over 13 feet by over 10 feet). Coving detail impresses here as well as next door.

Pop down the hall for your cute kitchen to the rear; with smart units in an L-shape, topped with wooden counters. You have mosaic tiles to the walls, and a west-facing window.

Lastly, you have a delightful (windowed) bathroom with sensitively-chosen traditional-style fittings and sanitary ware, paired with brick-style wall tiling.

Your closest station is Loughborough Junction. Brixton (regular and tube) and Denmark Hill stations are easily walkable too. Buses are great this way as well.

Central Camberwell has a strong and fast-growing offering of places to eat and drink for all budgets, alongside useful shops, banks and supermarkets. Some of our favourite spots are Forza, Veraison Wines, Little Cellars, The Camberwell Arms, Grove House Tavern and Theo’s. Luxury groceries are landed upon in Gladwell’s and Grove Lane Deli.

In the opposite direction, head to Brixton Village for a brilliant selection of food and drink outlets. And central Brixton is home to established greats: The Brixton Academy and The Ritzy Cinema.

Ruskin and Myatt’s Fields parks are your local Victorian parks, both have bandstands and community events galore, and Brockwell Park with popular lido is an easy bus ride or cycle.

Camberwell Green hosts a Saturday Farmers’ Market 10am-2pm. Keeping fit is easy round this way - with Camberwell leisure centre on Artichoke Place a short distance away, plus Zen Yoga Studio and Butterfly Tennis Club at the foot of Camberwell Grove.
