Blythe Hill, Honor Oak

Best and final offers invited by 4pm, Friday 12th July.

Big and bright two double bedroom maisonette of well over 1000 square feet. Find it within a handsome Victorian semi over first and second floor levels (with your front door on the ground floor), and accompanied by a private garden - to the front of the building.

The location is a wide, quiet and notably leafy residential street. Walk to Catford and Catford Bridge stations in 10 minutes, or Honor Oak Park Station in 15. And bus links are great from the South Circular.

In your own front door and there is a handy coat closet to your right. Take the stairs and on the half-landing is an independent w.c. and then on the first floor you have two really large reception rooms (which lie open-plan to each other), with the newly-renovated kitchen resting off the second one. Original stripped floors roll through from the landing area.

Up to the second floor and you have two double bedrooms over the receptions (these are over 13 feet by over 12 feet, and over 14 by nearly 11). The tour is completed by a modern windowed bathroom with independent shower. There is plumbing here for a washing machine, too.

Your local high street has handy shops, alongside nice cafes and eateries. We  particularly like Honor Oak Provender (the classy fresh loaves and house-made quiche are our favourites), Two Spoons (for brunch, coffee and such), and Miss Margherita (for yummy pizzas) in a former bank building.

Other local delights include Nonna Maria restaurant, Marchetti (which used to be a coffee van on Blythe Hill) cafe on Stanstead Road, and the Blythe Hill local market; this takes place on the first weekend of each month over Spring/Summer.

This is a particularly verdant spot to lay your hat. Local green spaces include Blythe Hill Fields, One Tree Hill, Horniman Gardens, Peckham Rye Park and Common, Ladywell Fields and Hilly Fields.

Other local town centres include Catford, Forest Hill, Sydenham, East Dulwich, Crofton Park and Brockley.
