Hither Green has a great sense of community with an annual festival at the clocktower - comprising market stalls, street food, live music and lots more! In addition to the wonderful Manor House Gardens festival (also annual).
Nearby In Ladywell we like The Larder deli, Mamma Dough for pizza, and Meat Jon (a great butcher shop). Wilson’s is a new small plates and wine place.
For high street shopping and markets, Lewisham and Catford are close. You can also pick up DLR trains at Lewisham Station for Canary Wharf and Bank.
Green spaces are pleasingly-plentiful round this way: beyond Mountsfield you have Lewisham Park. Then you land upon delightful Ladywell Fields, and beyond that - Hilly Fields. Greenwich Park (and UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Blackheath Common are also close for more options.
